Harrison Sheld practiced medicine for over forty years and retired from his full-time faculty position in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine, where he also served as chairman for six years. He was an examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and consultant to the National Board of Medical Examiners. He authored an annual OB-GYN Review book for ten years and edited Melloni’s Illustrated Dictionary of Obstetrical and Gynecology Dictionary.
